ABSTRACT
The article deals with the efforts of several U.S. health institutions to solve the problem concerning the high number of children with asthma sent home from school or to hospital emergency departments. St. John's Riverside Hospital, Yonkers Public Schools, Cochran School of Nursing and New York City teach and equip school nurses to treat asthma.
