The article reports that Steve Francis, chairman of the San Diego, California-based nurse staffing firm AMN Healthcare Inc., has exercised more than one million in stock options in May and June 2006. A 2005 mayoral candidate, Francis denied that the sales, which generated a net gain of more than $15 million, will be used to pay campaign debt.
