FX 'Snakes' its way to cable rights deal

The article reports that FX Networks has engineered a bid to buy cable rights of New Line Cinema Corp.'s "Snakes on a Plane," for its August 18 slot. The maximum license fee is expected to fall below $20 million. FX may have to pay 12 percent of the movie's domestic gross. The marketing campaign for "Snakes," has been started by New Line.
