The article focuses on the role of information technology in the achievement of corporate goals by service centers in the steel industry. The driving force to remain competitive is the evolution of electronic commerce technology to support real-time data integration for both customers and suppliers. Enterprise resource planning systems should adapt the business processes to the company.
