Linde/BOC deal wins FTC conditional approval

The article reports that Linde AG, a German-owned industrial gases company, won a conditional approval from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission for its takeover of British-based BOC Group PLC. The Linde group said that it had agreed to dispose its air separation units in the U.S. and divest three liquid three liquid helium purchase agreements with suppliers with various countries such as U.S., Russia and Poland. The group expects that the takeover plan will be completed on September 2006.
