ABSTRACT
The article reports that the California-based case goods and upholstery manufacturer Fairmont Designs has opened an upholstery factory in Dongguan, China. The factory is expected to be making 25,000 pieces a month by the end of 2006. Fairmont plans to ship upholstered and wood furniture in the same container to simplify the order process.
