ABSTRACT
The article reports on the effect of the acquisition of Adelphia Communications Corp. by Comcast Corp. and Time Warner Cable on the U.S. cable industry. There has been an increase in the number of subscribers of Time Warner Cable and Comcast as a result of the deal. Comcast continues to dominate the industry with its operations in 16 of 20 markets.
