The article reports that Aromatics prices stumble as Asian dip takes its toll and that European MTBE leaps on a strong energy complex while olefins contracts see moderate gains for the third quarter of 2006. Crude futures continued to strengthen largely on the current peak demand for gasoline. The Asian market looked weaker, with southern Chinese prices down Yuan20-40/ tonne to Yuan2600/tonne ex-tank, as a result of weak formaldehyde demand. INSET: EUROPEAN PARAXYLENE SPOT HITS 11-YEAR HIGH.
