Casual group honors Swers for achievement

The article reports on the 2006 Lifetime Achievement Award given to Allen Swers, retired textile veteran, in High Point North Carolina. It was given by the Casual Furniture Retailers and the Summer and Casual Furniture Manufacturers Association in September 15. It is said that Swers was an essential icon in the creation of Sunbrella casual furniture fabrics in 1982 when he approached Glen Raven. Meanwhile, he retired from Glen Raven at the age of 82.
