ABSTRACT
The article presents information on Newark, Delaware-based Negri Bossi USA Inc.'s new all-electric injection press, the Canbel, featured at NPE 2006. A multimaterial press called the CanBiMat was also shown by Negri-Bossi. Liquid silicone rubber parts were molded by the firm on an all-electric machine. The energy savings of the direct-drive Canbel are being pitched by Negri Bossi officials. The energy used while decelerating the motor is also captured by Canbel presses. A Tecnomagnete mold clamping system was equipped with the press.
