ABSTRACT
This article presents information on recent developments related to the field of advertising. M&C Saatchi Worldwide Ltd. has refused to a destabilizing management buyout of its Asian business. Tom Derry, the group's chairman for Asia-Pacific and the United States, in close cooperation of his senior management colleagues, initiated and stimulated the deal. In another development, Ikea AB has given its $85 million U.S. media planning and buying account to advertising agency Mediaedge:cia.
