ABSTRACT
This article presents information on recent developments associated with advertising and broadcasting, and appreciates some of these developments. Ralph Lauren Corp.'s sponsorship of Wimbledon Tennis Tournament was a good one. The tournament bears the right tone which is fit enough to match with Lauren's brand. In another development, British Broadcasting Corp.'s coverage of the soccer World Cup final beat ITV's coverage, with winning over 17 million viewers against ITV's 3.5 million.
