ABSTRACT
This article presents information on the changing nature of ringtone advertising as adopted by ringtone advertisers in wake of certain regulatory measures. The article makes specific reference to Jamster, a company based in Germany. The craze for ringtone gained momentum in 2001. When Jamster began ramping up its television advertising spendings, the sector started to attract attention. Jamster increased its advertising spend in Great Britain in 2005. The Crazy Frog ringtone is its biggest-selling product. The product boasts a 31 percent share of the British market.
