ABSTRACT
The article reports on the development of a high speed transport vessel for the U.S. Army and Navy to maneuver and deliver troops through shallow waters to minor or degraded ports. The Joint High-Speed Vessel (JHSV) was programmed to build and deploy a shallow-draft. JHSV was the replacement to the Army's Theater Support Vessel concept and the Navy's High-Speed Connector concept.
