ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the decision of Cumbrian contractor Graham Hayllar to hire a big square baler from his local dealer when presented with the chance of expanding his general contracting business into the big square baling sector. He had the chance to expand his business significantly by taking over the goodwill of a baling contractor's customers. It appeared to offer potential for further growth by making a big square baling service available to Hayllar's existing customers, too.
