The article focuses on the factors that could lead an employee complaint to a formal grievance based on the Disputes Resolution Regulations 2004 in Great Britain. Grievances considered to be valid in most cases have included a letter of resignation in a constructive dismissal case and a solicitor's letter from the employee. A grievance have a potential to become a tribunal complaint. Only 14% of respondents of a survey conducted by the Employment Lawyers Association believed that more claims were resolved because of resolution procedures.
