ABSTRACT
The article reports that the Council of Mortgage Lenders has predicted that the introduction of Home Information Packs automated valuation models will account for around 40 percent of valuations in Great Britain. Some mortgage packagers may suffer from a loss of revenue as AVM become increasingly accepted by lenders. Professional Mortgage Packagers Alliance operations manager Jon O'Brien warns packagers against relying too heavily on the markup of valuation fees.
