The article reports that Legal and General's main umbrella appointed representative firms, Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) and Lifetime Financial Management (LFM), have decided to become directly authorized brokers. According to MAB chief executive Peter Brodnicki, it will still maintain a close relationship with Legal and General, which will still be its sole supplier. LFM became directly authorized on May 16, 2006, but it still uses Legal and General as one of its product providers.
