ABSTRACT
The article offers news briefs related to the construction industry in the United States. The United States Department of Defense has been sued by the Sierra Club, claiming the Pentagon is trying to halt wind farm construction nationwide. An agreement has been made between U.S. and Canadian officials on language fleshing out an April 2006 pact to settle a long dispute over softwood lumber imports. According to Hill & Knowlton Inc., United States Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta is joining the company as vice chairman.
