ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's views regarding the scope of the adjunctive antithrombic therapy after fibrinolytic therapy in patients with ST-elevation acute myocardial infarction. Researcher J.W. Eikelboom and colleagues compared four small trials of intravenous unfractionated heparin (UFH). Earlier studies in acute coronary syndromes have shown benefit for enoxaparin, but not for dalteparin or nadroparin, when compared with UFH.
