ABSTRACT
The article comments on the performance of the bond market for the July 18, 2006 bond trading in the U.S. The release of inflation data has weakened the tax-exempt bond market. A decrease by six or seven basis points across the curve was observed in the Treasury market. The 10-year noted traded at 5.14 percent at the end of the trading day while the two-year note closed at 5.19 percent.
