ABSTRACT
The article reports on surveys by "Money" magazine and The PNC Financial Services Group that suggests couples don't understand how the other perceives their household finances. Nearly 70 percent of women claim they share financial decision-making responsibilities but less than 50 percent of men agree. Only 45 percent of husbands think their spouses wish to save for retirement but 70 percent of women say they care. More than 80 percent of women feel that it is important that both partners contribute but less than 70 percent of men agree.
