ABSTRACT
The article reports on the performance of initial public offerings from various companies in the trading market in the U.S. in 2006. The initial public offering (IPO) from Cowen Group Inc. had experienced big discounts on its first day of trading. The Valero GP Holdings company had raised $380.6 million after Lehman Brothers Inc. had priced its IPO at $22 per share. It further reported that there are already six IPO spinouts that performed well and raised $2.17 billion in the market.
