ABSTRACT
The article answers a question about endotracheal tube thromboning or unplanned extubation when performing oral care. Advice is provided regarding the securing device or tape change. Several steps are followed when performing endotracheal tube care or oral care. Specially manufactured devices such as tube holder, twill tape or adhesive tape can be used for securing endotracheal tubes or to permit access to oral cavity.
