The article discusses the weakness of J. Walter Thompson Co. (JWT) as it failed to purchase WPP Group PLC's and Interpublic's share of the $1.5 billion Reckitt Benckiser PLC account. It has been considered as the big loss for London office of JWT. Despite being the second biggest agency in London, England, in terms of billing, JWT has lost its reputation far behind its scale. JWT has been overshadowed by its local peer group. Newly arrived London chief of JWT Alison Burns will have to do a big rebuilding job. She will have to replenish the losses due to billings deficit and to re-imbue JWT with some personality.
