ABSTRACT
This article reports that Detroit, Michigan-based private-equity firm Huron Capital Partners LLC has purchased five Southern California companies. The firm plans to use these companies as a base to launch a super-regional transportation company. The purchases companies are HealthLink Medi-Van Inc., Yellow Cab of Orange County Inc., Diversified Paratransit Inc., Paul's Yellow Cab Inc. and CDSNet Inc. The deal was completed through a holding company, Tectrans Inc., which was formed in August 2005 by Huron Capital in partnership with several management veterans of the transportation industry.
