ABSTRACT
The article looks at the individual investors that were most affected by the decline of Asia's stock market. Almost all Asian billionaires saw their net worths slip between May 10 and June 14, 2006. India's tycoons suffered the biggest losses. Wind-energy producer Tulsi Tanti was Asia's biggest loser in terms of percentage of net worth wiped out. In terms of actual dollars gone, Azim Premji of Wipro Technologies lost five times as much as Tanti did. Reliance Industries' Mukesh Ambani's net worth shrank by $3.8 billion.
