ABSTRACT
This article reports on the initiative of adam.com, a web site that provides health information, to launch a review for its advertising account in 1999. Six shops are participating, including Bozell Worldwide, Fuse Design and Grey Healthcare. Bozell could have an advantage since it handles online advertising expected to launch in August. The site is looking to position itself as a trusted source of health information, officials said humor is inappropriate for the subject matter. One advantage they have is a name that does not include the word health or any medical catchphrase. Adam.com's name has roots in its previous moniker, ADAM Software, which stands for Animated Dissection of Anatomy for Medicine.
