ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of Clearwire Corp. to disregard its previously planned initial public offering (IPO). In its most recent filing with the U.S. Securities and Eschange Commission, Clearwire asked the commission to withdraw its May 11, 2006 filing, stating that the company has determined not to proceed with the registration and sale of its Class A common stock at this time. The IPO would have been valued at as much as $400 million, an amount dwarfed by the Intel and Motorola transactions.
