ABSTRACT
The article reports on how Daniel Gohl, principal at McKinley Technology High School in Washington, D.C., uses middleware and mobile technology to achieve real-time reporting and monitoring of incidents at school. School security officers have WiFi-enabled personal digital assistants while they monitor school grounds. A middleware from Mobile Guardian is used to access a database for instantaneous documentation.
