The article describes the smart card-based solution developed by Luxembourg-based Gemplus for the drug company Pfizer's secure electronic system for digital signatures and employee network access. Pfizer launched its Global Identity Services program which aimed to create a company-wide electronic identity infrastructure. It has created the industry standard Secure Access for Everyone with other drug companies.
