This article reports on the opening of convenience store chain Kum & Go. The convenience store chain is planning to double its number of stores by 2009. The 5,000-square-foot store opened on the birthday of Kum & Go founder and chairman W.A. Krause. It is in Krause's hometown of Eldora, Iowa. The site is situated just seconds from Eldora High School, his alma mater. The business is open 24 hours a day, while everything else in Eldora closes by 10 P.M. The location's more progressive elements include heated sidewalks and fuel islands to combat snow, a walk-in beer cooler and restrooms equipped with buttons, customers can press to report the facilities as unfit.
