ABSTRACT
The article reports on the appointment of Kirk Bauer, executive director of Disabled Sports USA, to the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports by the U.S. President George W. Bush in the U.S. With the appointment, he will join with other new members including Eli Manning, Andy Roddick, Mary Lou Retton Kelley, and Denise Austin. According to Bauer, he hopes to use his position to promote fitness for youth with disabilities and for veterans.
