ABSTRACT
The article presents tips on how to choose appropriate vehicles and adaptations for people with disabilities in the U.S. It suggests to that the vehicle should be accessible for getting in and out of wheelchairs and that it should have space for the wheelchair to be loaded. It recommends to choose cars and trucks having a sufficient weight-carrying capacity and that it should be installed with a lift and manual or electric tie-downs for ease of carrying.
