ABSTRACT
The article announces the 42nd annual Chicago International Film Festival to be held in Chicago, Illinois from October 5-19, 2006. The organizers of the 2006 film festival have slated programs devoted to unheralded contemporary Greek cinema, which reflects the film festival's mission to honor contemporary Greek and European cinema. One of the highlights is the U.S. premieres of little-known anime filmmaker Yoshiyuki Tomino and a restored print of Frank Urson's "Chicago," the 1927 original about jazz-age murderess Roxie Hart.
