ABSTRACT
The article reports on the retrenchment of 115 employees at CBS Radio stations across the U.S. in a bid to cut costs. The layoff of employees across the 179 radio stations represented a small percentage of the company's workforce of nearly 8,500 full and part-time employees. CBS executive Joel Hollander explained that the measure is designed to ensure the company's competitiveness for future growth.
