The article reports that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is conducting an informal inquiry into the stock option granting practices of Xilinx. In June 2006, The board of directors of the company were named as the subjects of two separate lawsuits filed by company shareholders, both regarding the alleged backdating of stock options.
