The article reports on the strategic plan announced by Viacom CEO Tom Freston at the company's first annual shareholders meeting in the U.S. The company, which owns Paramount, MTV Networks and Comedy Central, is planning to focus on new media, overseas business and social responsibility initiatives. According to Freston, increasing media fragmentation is a good idea as youth migrate to the Internet and videogames.
