ABSTRACT
The article reports on the completion of the acquisition of GE Insurance Solutions by Swiss Re Group. The company will work integrate the businesses which becomes the world's largest reinsurer over the next 18 months. $7.4 billion was paid by Swiss Re for GE Insurance Solutions. $2.4 billion worth of new Swiss Re shares issued to General Electric is included in the financing for the acquisition.
