ABSTRACT
The article reports on developments in the motion picture industries in Spain and Japan. Major film companies in Spain, including UIP and Warner Sogefilms, have filed appeals with the Audienca Nacional in the hopes of overturning the fine imposed on them for anticompetitive practices. In Japan, Paramount lost the suit it filed asking the stoppage of the sale of cheap Japanese copies of the movie "Roman Holiday" when a Tokyo District Court ruled against them.
