ABSTRACT
The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), a trade organization that rates motion pictures, has been creating an online consumer panel that will be surveyed on all things related to movies. The move, as announced at the Entertainment Merchants Association convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, aims to provide studios with concise knowledge about the consumer through the Internet. Panel members will be required to address quarterly surveys on issues related to specific demographics. The MPAA is looking at 15,000 panel members by the end of 2007.
