ABSTRACT
The article reports that gamma vinyl-GABA, a drug commonly used to treat epilepsy, may also offer effective treatment for cocaine addiction, according to researchers at New York University School of Medicine and Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, New York. A statement from Dr. Frank Vocci, director of the Division of Treatment Research and Development, National Institute on Drug Use, is presented. The details of the study is highlighted.
