ABSTRACT
The article discusses the growing popularity of horror among independent U.S. film producers. Independent suppliers are flooding the homevideo market with low-budget scary movies. The sudden interest in horror output is traced to the box office success of independent films "Saw," "Saw II," and "Cabin Fever." These films generated millions of dollars more on DVD.
