ABSTRACT
The article reports that Walt Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" has broken box office records by grossing $135.6 million during the weekend of July 7-9, 2006. The film's gross is $3.6 million more than Disney's initial estimate. It also surpassed by nearly $21 million the previous three-day weekend record set by "Spider-Man." The foreign number for "Pirates" stayed the same as Sunday's estimate of $46.6 million.
