ABSTRACT
The article reports on the additional guidance, designed to offer greater protection for customers who borrow from banks, on the Banking Code in Great Britain. The new guidance, which was published on April 1, 2006 covers consolidation five areas, including consolidation loans, joint income borrowing, referral of declined plan applications, assessing a customer's ability to repay, and consideration of additional information.
