Cook County Board Seeks Replacement for Stroger

The article reports on the plan of the Cook County Board of Commissioners to choose an interim president to replace the vacant position left by John Stronger in Cook County, Illinois. Stronger resigned from the post and has also withdrew from the November electric as the Democratic candidate for president of the board. He was the first African American to be elected as the president of the board and leaders in the black community are pushing for black successor.
