The article focuses on the views of the author on an advertising festival in Cannes, France. There was much for British creative agencies to celebrate. Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO Ltd. (AMV) proved that despite a patchy creative run in recent years, the magic is back. AMV was also the runner-up in the Agency of the Year category and talk soon turned to how long it would be before its chief executive, Farah Ramzan Golant, is green-carded to run the U.S. office. Interestingly, though, while the U.S. agencies turned in a pretty poor performance in the prestigious Film category, they are clearly leading the way in innovative communications channels.
