Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO to create next raft of BBC2 idents

The article reports that BBC2 has chosen Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO Ltd. (AMV) to create the next series of its iconic idents. AMV won the business in a pitch against three design agencies. AMV's task will be to create a number of idents to be broadcast on the channel as well as redesigning the Web site to match the new identity. The most recent series of idents, which feature an animated number two, were designed and created five years ago by Lambie-Nairn. Farah Ramzan Golant, the chief executive of AMV, said that brand design is one of the many strands being developed at AMV.
