ABSTRACT
The article highlights the National Safety Day celebration at the National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) in India in 2006. NCL director S. Sivaram addressed the safety issues faced by the laboratory in his opening remarks. The annual safety report presented centers on such matters as accidents that took place in the laboratory during 2005. The keynote address was given by R. Veeraraghvan of Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd.
