ABSTRACT
The article talks about the looming inland fuel shortage faced by South Africa. There is a concern that the ageing oil refineries will soon run out of capacity to supply enough fuel to meet the needs of the country's growing economy. Experts in the industry argue that the beleaguered rail network and overburdened roads are not up to the delicate task of transporting the highly flammable fuel to inland cities.
